On April 3rd, 2026, we released our first official live album: “Live Bars”. For us, this is not just another release – it is a real milestone in the band’s history. Raw, unfiltered, and captured exactly as it happened.
All twelve tracks were recorded at a festival in Germany. No studio corrections, no artificial polishing afterwards – just the live performance, with everything that comes with it: audience energy, pressure, imperfections, adrenaline, and those unpredictable moments where everything either holds together or falls apart. That is exactly what we wanted to preserve.
A key aspect of this record is that every single song was originally written specifically for live performance. You can hear it in every arrangement – these are not studio tracks adapted for the stage, but songs built for it from the very beginning.
The Band & The Team
This album would not exist without the people behind it:
- Donna – vocals
- Gil – backing vocals
- Mario – lead guitar
- Edi – bass
- Martin – drums
- Mike – keyboards & percussion
- Steff – technical production, photography, video & visual documentation
Everyone contributed in their own way, but what defines this record is the collective performance. “Live Bars” only works because we function as a unit – not as individuals.
Tracklist & Credits
(Credits Composer / Lyrics / Producer – Comment)
- Intro – Donna / Donna / Martin – Band introduction piece
- Horses of Steel – Mario / Mario / Martin
- Highway After the Fire – Mario / Mario / Martin
- Never Enough of the Storm – Martin / Martin / Martin – One of the very few German-language songs in the set
- Donna Drinks Alone – Donna / Donna / Martin
- Bars of Silence – Mario / Mario / Martin – Acoustic version featuring Mario on acoustic guitar
- Shield of Her Own – Donna / Donna / Martin – This song reflects Donna’s personal experiences with domestic violence in a past relationship. It is not a metaphor or artistic exaggeration, but a direct and honest confrontation with something many people experience but rarely speak about.
- Raise Your Glass Tonight – Martin / Martin / Martin – A song dedicated to all friends, acquaintances, and family members we have lost along the way.
- Still Not Done With It All – Martin / Martin / Martin
- Ender – Donna / Donna / Martin
- Outro – Martin / Martin / Martin
- Judgement Day – Martin / Martin / Martin – A direct and confrontational track addressing various parts of the justice system. At its core, it is a reminder that all people – regardless of role, status, or institution – are ultimately equal in mortality and responsibility. The central idea is captured in the concept of “memento mori”.
What “Live Bars” Means to Us
This album is not a greatest hits collection and not a polished studio product. It is a snapshot in time. You hear the crowd, the imperfections, the spontaneous reactions, and the tension that only exists when music is performed live in its purest form.
We deliberately chose not to remove those elements. Especially because these songs were written for the stage, the live environment is not just a recording context – it is their natural habitat.
Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone who attended the festival, supported us along the way, and of course to everyone listening to “Live Bars” now.
